About Patricia & Jim

Our Background

Patricia has sold and listed residential properties as a respected and dedicated member of the Ottawa Real Estate Board since 1989. She has had exceptional success in helping Canadians on overseas assignments purchase homes upon their return to Canada.  Prior to her Real Estate career, Patricia was an Elementary and Junior High School teacher.  She is a prolific reader, a gardener, a gourmet cook, a lover of golf, and loves travelling abroad.

Jim joined the Ottawa Real Estate Board in 2008 following 36 years as a Scientist and Research Manager with Agriculture Canada Research Branch.  He completed his undergraduate work in Agriculture at the University of Alberta, his Master’s  degree  at the University of Nebraska and his Ph.D.  at the University of Minnesota.  He also has extensive experience negotiating national and international research contracts and, being a Past President and Treasurer of a Kanata Home Owner's Association, he also has considerable experience managing shared properties as well as water, sewer and road services for  the association’s co-tenancy home owners.
